Media Passport Background
This is the background I made for my media passport photo on adobe illustrator.
Firstly, I used the shape tool, gave it a pink colour and
placed it over the white background. I chose the colour pink as it’s a very
light colour and will help make the text visible.
Afterwards, I made a new layer and moved it above the first
layer. I then used the curvature tool and a pattern around the background using
the colour purple. After making the first part of the pattern I copied and
pasted it down the background.
For the finishing touches, I added some symbols in a
slightly darker colour onto the pattern.
Media Passport Background
28.09.17
This is the media passport I made on illustrator. I got into InDesign by placing the image from my files. Once the image was placed I increased the size by dragging the corners of the images and making it fit the page.
I then inserted a new page and made it a double page spread. After doing that I placed the passport background I made in illustrator and made it cover the double page spread.
After that I took the lowkey photo I took at the photo booth and placed it onto the double page spread. I then added text below the photo.
Finally I added some text to the other side.
Double Page Spread Newspaper
17/10/17
In this lesson we used indesign to create our very own double page spread of the front page of a newspaper. Firstly I opened up indesign in an A4 document with facing pages. I then changed the master to make it give two columns on the left and three on the right, also making the gutter 6mm. Once I added the columns, I then added text boxes, and filled them with place holder text. I also placed photos from the travel log. For the title and some of the subtext, I typed in english and made the text big and bold.
This is how the double spread originally looked like however, I later changed it up to make it look more like a news paper article.
